Achranga Dighi in Khetlal, Khetlal
The traditional historical site known as Achranga Dighi has situated in the Joypurhat district's Mamudpur union of Khetlal Upazila. Locals claim that the lack of rainfall under Moun Bhatt's rule rendered the agricultural areas in the Rajshahi district nearly unusable for farming. Moun Bhatt was the zamindar of Tahirpur's founding dynasty. Midway through the ninth century (about 817 AD), Maun Bhatta excavated this lake to prepare the agricultural area for agriculture.
There are countless green trees and four embanked ghats all around Acharanga Dighi. And there are many local folktales centered around Dighi. The attractive natural setting of this lake, which in the winter is home to a wide variety of visiting birds, draws a large number of people eager to spend time there.
