The upazila headquarters (Islampur-Chakrampur) is located on the west vishwarwar (gulgoan), 3.5 km southwest of pucca road. In 1967, Mr. Abdur Rahman, Mr. Md. Akbar Ali, Mr. Shawkat Ali, Mr. Dipak Ranjan Das Biswas, and Mr. Abul Kalam, Chairman of the 7th Vandahar Union chairman, Mr.Allam, temporarily installed the establishment in Mr. Mahesh Biswas's own land.
