Abahani Limited in Dhanmondi, Dhaka

Abahani Dhaka Abahani or Abahani Limited is a Bangladeshi professional football club headquartered in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The club plays in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's eldest son, reorganized Iqbal Sporting Club into Abahani Krira Chakra in 1972. It became an Ltd in 1989. Abahani Limited Dhaka is a well-known and popular club. The club has a long-standing rivalry with Dhaka Mohammedan SC, known as the Dhaka Derby. 

The team won 11 Dhaka League championships before 2006. They've won seven Bangladesh Premier League titles since the league's existence. They have 17 domestic league championships, second only to rivals Dhaka Mohammedan SC. The club has 12 Federation Cups and 2 Independence Cups.
