Agreeing to these terms

By visiting Moumachi, creating an account or adding anything to it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Moumachi.

If you use Moumachi on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

Who we are

Moumachi is run by Moumachi Ltd. (“Moumachi”, “we”, “us”), a sister concern of CSM Bangladesh Ltd. Our goal is simple: help people find trustworthy local businesses with accurate, human-verified information.

Your account

You can browse Moumachi without an account. To write reviews, add photos, check in, add or claim a business, or earn contribution points, you need one.

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, use Moumachi with a parent or guardian’s permission.
• Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person, one account. Don’t create accounts for someone else, or to get around a block.
• If you sign in with Google, Google’s own terms also apply to that sign-in.

Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.

Using Moumachi

Use Moumachi for its purpose: finding, reviewing and connecting with businesses. Please don’t:

• Copy, scrape or download listings or reviews in bulk, by hand or with automated tools, or reuse them in another directory or database.
• Try to break, overload or get around the security of our website, app or systems, including scanning for weaknesses.
• Send spam, or use Moumachi to advertise in ways we haven’t agreed to.
• Pretend to be another person or business, or mislead people about who you are.
• Use Moumachi for anything illegal in Bangladesh, or to harm, harass or threaten anyone.

Reviews, photos and other content

Reviews, ratings, photos, check-ins, comments, new listings and suggested edits you add are “your content”.

You keep ownership

Your content stays yours. By adding it, you give Moumachi a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to show, store, copy, resize, translate and share it on Moumachi and in our promotion of Moumachi, for as long as it is on our platform. You confirm that you have the right to share it, including any photos you didn’t take yourself.

Keep it honest and fair

• Review only businesses you have actually used or visited, and describe your own experience.
• Don’t review your own business, your employer, a competitor, or a business you are connected to.
• Don’t write reviews in return for money, discounts, gifts or other rewards, and don’t offer them for reviews.
• No hate speech, threats, sexual content, personal information about others, or false statements of fact.
• Don’t post someone else’s photos, logos or content without permission.

How we handle content

We may check, edit for formatting, hide or remove content that breaks these terms or the law, or that our team believes is fake or misleading. Anyone can report a review they think breaks the rules, and we review every report. We don’t remove reviews just because they are negative.

Business listings and owners

Listings on Moumachi are built from information collected and checked by our team, added by the community, and provided by business owners.

• Claiming a listing. Claim a business only if you own it or are authorised to manage it. We may ask for proof, and we can refuse or remove a claim at any time.
• Keeping it accurate. Owners should keep their phone numbers, address, opening hours and other details correct.
• Replying to reviews. Owners may reply to reviews politely and publicly. You can’t ask for a review to be removed because it is negative, and you can’t offer rewards for good reviews.
• Our decisions. We may edit, merge, mark as closed or remove listings to keep the directory accurate.

Verification, Modhufied and Premium

• Verified. A verified listing means our team checked its key details when we verified it. Businesses change, so verification is not a guarantee of quality or of how a business will treat you.
• Modhufied. The Modhufied badge is given to businesses that meet our standards, such as a good rating, an in-person visit and accurate contact details. We can remove the badge if a business no longer meets them.
• Premium and other paid placements. Some businesses pay to appear in places such as Featured Businesses. Paid placements are labelled, and they don’t change the reviews or ratings a business receives.

Contribution points and the leaderboard

You earn contribution points for adding helpful content, as shown on our leaderboard. Points and levels are a way of saying thank you: they have no cash value and can’t be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. We may change how points work, and we may remove points earned through fake, copied or rule-breaking content.

Our name, logo and website

The Moumachi name, logo, badges, design and software belong to Moumachi Ltd. You may not use them without our written permission, except to link to Moumachi or to share a listing.

Other websites and services

Moumachi links to business websites and social pages, and uses services such as Google Maps and Google sign-in. We don’t control those websites and services and are not responsible for them; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

Information on Moumachi

We work hard to keep listings accurate, but details such as prices, opening hours and contact numbers can change without notice. Reviews are the opinions of their authors, not of Moumachi. Moumachi is provided “as is”: please check important details with the business directly before relying on them.

Any deal, order or agreement you make with a business found on Moumachi is between you and that business.

Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law of Bangladesh allows, Moumachi is not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, or for losses caused by businesses listed on Moumachi, by other users, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

Suspending or closing accounts

We may limit, suspend or close an account, and remove its content, if it breaks these terms, harms other users or businesses, or puts Moumachi at risk. You can stop using Moumachi at any time, and ask us to close your account by contacting us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Moumachi grows. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for important changes we may also tell you by email or notification. If you keep using Moumachi after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute about them will be handled by the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
